Today has been fairly productive. As well as finishing setting up this blog, including the mailing list, I have managed to port and test most of my scripts.
The Server Number and the Chat Filter scripts are tested working. The Tavern Rats script is untested but I am confident that it will work.
The Maze script I have ported but I have no means to test it out since it is part of a quest. If you want to use it anyway then go ahead, or if you have a character I can use to test it I would be incredibly grateful.
Next weekend I think I will try to create a sandbox environment to test out the maze script, and the weekend after that, with any luck, I can pick up the mushroom script again.
Well, it's very late right now, so I'm going to head off.

Here people can comment on any aspect of this blog or my scripts, for example: layout, current scripts, scripts they would like me to make, ways they want to be notified of new posts and new scripts, etc.
I'll reply to comments and some comments I may start a new post about, depending on how important the information in the post is and how much discussion etc. it is likely to generate.
So, comment away.

List Of Planned Scripts
Here is a list of scripts I plan to make next. Please feel free to make requests in the comments here.
Mushroom Farming Script
This will give you a drop-down list to allow you to auto-plant mushrooms and notify you when you need to go back to allow the script to take further action (picking mushrooms, planting spores, etc.)
Tattoo, Trophy and Tiny Plastic descriptions or descriptions
This will probably just be added to the familiar script. It will add either the name or the name and a description to the title tag of tattoo, trophy, and tiny plastic item images.
Logoff Confirmation
This will ask you to confirm before you log off, in case you accidentally clicked the link (or selected the option from the drop-down)
Trophies Needed
This will let you know which trophies you need and, optionally, how to get them.
Tiny Plastic Needed
This will let you know of tiny plastics that are missing from a set.
That's just about everything for now

List Of Current Scripts
Here is a list of completed scripts with a quick description and whether they are tested on Internet Explorer. For a full list of my GreaseMonkey scripts see my GM Script Page and for my Internet Explorer Scripts see my IE Script Page.
KoL Gender
This will insert alt and title attributes for the avatars on the player profile pages and on the character page. The tags will say whether the character is male, female, or using a custom avatar.
Tested with IE: Yes.
Beaten Up Script
This will add a description of the beaten up image and say when the effect is gone.
Tested with IE: Yes.
KoL familiar script
This will add title attributes to all familiars in the kingdom. It will also add title attributes to the pixels, saying which is which, and add a title attribute to the magnifying glass above the campground dwelling, and add title attributes to the El Vibrito Punchcards, saying which is which. I need to rename this script I think ;P
Tested with IE: Yes.
KoL Chat Filter
It currently only filters one word, but let me know, and I can mod it. Or just mod it yourself or something, whatever.
Tested with IE: Yes.
Server Number Script
This will add the server number to the login page, the char pane, and the logged off page. Good for keeping track of where you are.
Tested with IE: Yes.
KoL rats script
This will add a number (from 1 - 25) to each of the darkness squares in the typical tavern quest. It helps you keep track of which squares you have visited, and where the important events are.
Tested with IE: No, but should be working.
KoL Hedge Maze Solver
This will auto-solve the hedge maze if the "Auto-Solve" link next to the "use" link is clicked. Due to the nature of the hedge maze, this has not been tested as extensively as I would have liked, so please report any bugs to me (greasemonkey@scutterman.com) so I can attempt to fix. Created for the visually impaired, not the lazy ;-)
Tested with IE: Not yet. Due to the fact that the maze is part of a quest I have no way of testing this script at the current time, but if someone had a character at that quest and was willing to lend me their character to test this on I would be grateful.

Currently Working On
My current aim is to port as many of my scripts as possible to the IE engine. So far I have tested the scripts named "KoL Familiar script", "KoL Gender script", and "KoL Beaten Up script" as working with the IE engine and I will be working on other scripts today.
After that I will probably start work on my mushroom farming script again, then port that to IE.
My plan is to have the current scripts ported to IE by the end of today (including the KoL Maze script), and work on the mushroom farming script should begin next weekend. Once I look at the mushroom script properly I'll hopefully be able to post here with an estimated time of completion.
That just about everything for now.

About Greasemonkey and Internet Explorer Scripts
GreaseMonkey is a firefox addon that lets people change web pages by installing user scripts. Information about GreaseMonkey scripts, including downloading the addon and tutorial links, can be found at the GM official page or get the addon directly.
Once you have successfully installed GreaseMonkey you can start installing user scripts. There are plenty of scripts at http://userscripts.org/ but the ones I create are all listed on my GreaseMonkey Page.
This is all very well if you use firefox, but if you use Interne Explorer for any reason then there is an alternative. Admittedly it isn't up to the standard of GreaseMonkey but it does the job, just about. There is a plugin for Internet Explorer called IE7Pro, that can be downloaded directly at this link. The plugin has many features including a script engine that is very similar to the GreaseMonkey engine. Script management, as well as general options for IE Pro, can be found by using the control and F7 keys together.
A note about my scripts:
Some of my GreaseMonkey scripts may have bugs or quirks that have not been found yet. The Internet Explorer scripts are just ported from the GreasMonkey scripts so they also may have bugs in. If you find something wrong you can report it to me at contact@scutterman.com. Of course, if you have a more direct way of contacting me (e.g. if I have you on my messenger or Kingdom of Loathing friend list) feel free to use that instead.
That's just about everything for now, so I'll leave it there.

About This Blog
Okay, so I started this so I have an easy way to keep people informed of what I'm doing in regards to Greasemonkey scripts and Internet Explorer Scripts. In the past this would be a matter of someone asking for something, I make it, and let them know. Unfortunately university work, lack of time, and real life, have all left me somewhat disorganised as far as writing the scripts goes so I intend to post various information here.
I'll make sure I create a list of current scripts and note whether each one works with Internet Explorer yet. I'll also have a page showing what I'm working on, what the progress is, and what I plan to work on next.
Whenever I start a new script or come across a problem with a script I'm working on I'll make a post here to keep everyone informed and I'll put a planned end-date in each of those posts.
The next post I will make will be a "Suggestions" page. Here people can comment on layout, current scripts, scripts they would like, and ways they want to be notified of new posts and new scripts. Currently there's an RSS feed for the posts, and I plan to set up a mailing list that sends an email any time there's a new post, but if anyone has another preferred method just let me know.
That's just about all for now
